Minor God
Appointment
A minor god is either created as a god of the same type by their major god, or they are chosen by their major god to be given powers and hold such a rank. There is no ritual, just the act. A minor god cannot appoint another minor god, even by order; the major god must take the time to appoint a new divine follower.
Duties
Minor gods generally do what their gods ask them to. They may also talk their gods out of something extreme. In some ways, they play the role of the jester, and in other ways they play the role of the bureaucrat. They are also often taught to not be seen, but have their actions be seen.
Accoutrements & Equipment
Many of the minor gods wear outfits appointed by their gods while on duty. While they vary a lot, such outfits usually include robes, iconography of their major god's main symbol, and one of the god's favourite things that are not their main iconography. As for the equipment they use, it depends on the job. Overall, though, they are given a weaker form of their major god's powers. For example, minor gods of Kyra'ora may be able to send others back in time, but this does not mean they can view other timelines.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
Should a minor god deliberately disobey their major god or attempt to become a major god themself, they can, and often will, be dismissed. As for the minor gods who attempted to become major gods, few have succeeded, and those who have become a major god or disobeyed their major god were often killed by their major god, for those who wish to escape from their major god are often held under an evil major god or were evil themselves. Some are, however, good on both sides, and those successes are what has led to such an extreme number of seemingly irrelevant gods on The Godship.
