The Godship

The Godship is the home of the gods, the place where everything happens. It is the center of the Cosmos, and is hardly frequented by mortals. Were a god to never leave it for a million years, they would likely only encounter two mortals during that time. Magic is everywhere, but so is the fear of losing one's life to a golden knife. It isn't dangerous, but everyone seems to know everyone, and everyone knows everyone's mortal weakness.

Government

There is no government, just the wish that no one dies, at least not unjustly.

Infrastructure

In some senses, the Godship feels like an apartment complex, but the communal rooms are grand and often golden, with lights that adjust to the preference pf whoever's inside, something that can easily lead to malfunctions if one person wishes to have dim lights while another wishes to have blinding lights.

Guilds and Factions

There are many small factions on the Godship, mainly referencing what the gods involved preside over. Some, in order of increasing importance, include: Basics, Elements, Planetary Developments, Species, Seasons, Muses, Traits, and Emotions. Many other fall after these, but the groups are so small and obscure that it may take years to note all of them.

History

Once there were enough godbornes that they required separation from mortals, En, the god of mechanics, created the Godship. Over time, Lorelei, the god of architecture, altered the designs of the buildings to make them prettier and to hide the mechanics behind the ecumenopolis.

Points of interest

The meeting hall is certainly large and difficult to imagine, but the announcement hall, what is essentially a stadium that can fit hundreds of thousands of gods, each with an assigned seat, is so impossible to imagine that it is worth seeing at least once. In addition, the Kleini room, the room dedicated to studying Kleini, however unsuccessful, can put a person at peace.

The number has not been counted for a few billion years, long before Minor Gods would be considered in the count, so 173 is nowhere near accurate.
