Kleini

Kleini generally take the form of the dominant species on the planet they inhabit. This is generally human, but other species, such as Dukions, have been known to be imitated. It is estimated that, more often than not, Kleini either take the form of women or simply possess women, given the gender imbalance of 31:23:8 (at this time, F, M, and NB, respectively) within The Godship.

Kleini are beings made of golden light, and pieces of them seem to defy gravity at times. Often incorrectly titled 'Ceilon's Servants' despite the obvious gap between the two types of light spirits, some gods tend to imitate their Kleini instead of the other way around. This being said, formless beings generally look for form, and formed beings often do not look for formlessness; they look for a different form at most.

With few exceptions, most planets have strong Kleini. Since Kleini are often warriors in an effort to protect their hosts, their bodies are often larger and more muscular than the average of the species they imitate. They also tend to dress themselves in fake armour or whatever type of fighting garb of their planet. Although, considering that their bodies are not more fit for fighting with the added muscles or armour, the only reason they might add such things is to intimidate their enemies. This being said, the extra height benefits their sensory capabilities.

Kleini, in order to reproduce, cut pieces of themself off with a golden knife. This can incidentally kill their hosts, making it the only way to kill a god. As such, if a Kleini wishes to reproduce, they leave their hosts, cut the piece of themself off, and return to their host. Once the piece of the Kleini is cut off, the new Kleini is immediately formed, and the old Kleini is reformed.

Kleini are fully grown as soon as they are created, but they tend to take a short period of time before they possess their first host. They take an even shorter period of time between hosts, should their host be killed.

Kleini are found all around the Cosmos, and their forms depend on the environment they are created in. This being said, they do not stay in this environment for long, usually just long enough to obtain a suitable host.

Kleini do not technically require food, but they do feed on light.

If a Kleini chooses not to reproduce, their power will grow, and their bodies will grow alongside it. Once a certain power level is reached, their hosts will be unable to support such a power, and their bodies will collapse under the Kleini's weight. This is the most of a 'biological cycle' that a Kleini will undergo. This being said, it has never happened by a Kleini's will before, as the host is much too important to the Kleini for them to lose. The only recorded occurrence of this phenomena was because, when she was but a video game sprite, less than a mortal, the goddess of Kleini, Elqueia, somehow got a Kleini sealed inside a fragment of light on her hand. Even after figuring out how to free the Kleini, Elqueia left it there, waiting for her moment of reckoning, when she saw a chance to leave the game she'd erased her own file in. Oven time, the Kleini's power surpassed the breaking point, and yet they remained sealed. And when Elqueia's replacement, a mortal woman named El, found her and attempted to kill the collection of pixels in humanoid form after Elqueia had threatened the secretary's life, Elqueia released the Kleini in the fragment, allowing the light being to shatter her form. Elqueia didn't care if she lived or had her code destroyed, she only wanted to make a point.

To this day, no one knows how Elqueia survived, became real, or convinced the Kleini to stay with her, although there has been speak about the Kleini being halfway sealed by Elqueia at all times.

Without spending much time where they were created, Kleini obtain a host, for it would be difficult for a light being to survive on their own. When threatened, Kleini are almost always extremely aggressive, protecting their hosts, and themselves, at any cost.

Kleini usually take on some of the facial features of their host, but they also tend to doll themselves up a tad in order to make their host actually want to remain with them. The dolling up does not, however, allow for their enemies to find them anything but intimidating, and it will be shed at the first sign of danger.

Kleini exist throughout the entire Cosmos, and they only spread.

Kleini are very intelligent, so much to that some denote them as 'holding the secrets of the universe behind their eyes'. Although the one other than The Cosmos who actually does would much rather that title stay on the Kleini.

Kleini do not technically see, hear, taste, smell, or touch, although they can interact with the world around them. Instead, Kleini can sense whatever their light touches, even if it is blocked. Albeit, the range of their light is dulled when blocked. As such, Kleini are more vulnerable when inside their hosts. The general range of a Kleini's vision is 15 feet unblocked and 12 feet within the host. A small portion has a larger range of sense, and even less have a shorter range. Despite sensing rather than seeing, hearing, et cetera the way humans might, Kleini's words are so convincing and their senses so detailed that, until recently, they were thought to have the same senses as their hosts.

The Language of the Gods

The Kleini and The Cosmos are of the same species, and, even though the two have drastically different roles within the universe, they both hold the same powers, and they've both shaped the Cosmos.

Kleini create. Every planet has a Kleini core, and every god has a Kleini keeping them immortal. Every decision has been made by a Kleini in some way, and everything, living or not, will have a Kleini pass through them in some way at some time.

Truly, when talking about anything, including history, a Kleini has touched it, even if for but a second. Permanence is for those Kleini find most interesting. And history is but a study of the most detrimental of the Kleini's will. This being said, they're only mentioned in terms of gods because that is when they're most visible.
