Stavin Oboror

Stavin Oboror was the great-great-grandson of Ferran II, king of Ferraria. He lived during the Republian occupation of Ferraria, and escaped their original and subsequent purges of the Ferrarian nobility because his father, Atitus Oboror, hid his family with the Montarbattens of the Dellanix mountains, an area both loyal to the Oboror family and fierce opponents to Republian rule. They were able to hide in caves deep in the mountain, escaping Republian agents and spies.   After Stavin's son, Acanth Oboror, came of age, they were discovered by the Overseers. When the Lord of Snow passed away, his son sold out the Oborors to the Republian Overseers. Seizing the opportunity, Acanth captured the Montarbatten keep before the Republian agents arrived and declared Stavin the true king of Ferraria. From their defensive position in the Dellanixes, Stavin was able to raise an army to oppose the Republians, sparking another civil war in Ferraria.   By the end of the war, most of the noble families of Ferraria had joined their forces with Stavin, and a second army of the people had risen up and laid siege to Ferran's Hold under the command of Acanth. However, before Acanth was able to capture the city, a second Republian army was able to land by travelling up the River Hyrame. Stavin rushed his army halfway across the continent, and was killed on the banks of Lake Yekar in the ensuing battle. However, his army was successful in stopping this second force from arriving, and Acanth eventually captured the city and crowned himself king. Stavin's body was preserved and interred in the new Oboror family tomb on the shores of Lake Yekar near where he fell in battle.
