Personal history
Nilom I was the sixth king of Ferraria and the first son of King Ferran II . He was a sickly boy, nearly dying of the flu while on campaign with his father. Nilom ruled mostly from his hospital bed, and only made one public appearance during his reign, and that was for his coronation. Nilom let his advisor Sror Branuk and brother Geoth do much of ruling during his reign. Nilom preferred to spend his time reading and sleeping in bed.
Nilom died peacefully in his sleep in 121, but what followed was not peaceful. Following his death, war broke out between supporters of his brother and legal heir Geoth and his preferred successor and long-time family friend Sror Branuk. Geoth eventually won the War of the Deyber Bushes and had Branuk drowned in Lake Yekar for treason.
Nilom was betrothed to Qinta Dage, a noblewoman from the Coast of Grass, but he died before they could be married. She married his brother Geoth instead.
