Personal history
Geoth I was the seventh king of Ferraria, and the brother of King Nilom I and the second son of King Ferran II. Geoth I officially took control of the throne in 121, after the natural death of his brother Nilom I. However, Geoth had to fight a war of succession against Sror Branuk. Geoth only had the backing of a few of his lords, and Branuk had a numerical advantage. However, Geoth was able to outmaneuver Branuk and took control of his keep in Swatholm. Branuk and his rebel lords surrendered. Branuk was put to death and the others sent on a futile expedition into the south, where they were never heard from again.
The Branuk family was shamed by this incident, but were allowed to keep their position as Lords of the Lake. Geoth was widely regarded as being too merciful in his punishments, as he ended up fighting many smaller rebellions for much of his reign. Eventually, Geoth was killed in battle near the Seezhin Ocean. Geoth was survived by one son, Vikud II, who took the throne after his death.
