Personal history
Geoth IV was the fifteenth king of Ferraria, who ascended the throne after the death of his father, King Geoth III. Geoth IV was widely regarded as a reformist and a recluse, spending much of his reign travelling the kingdom and visiting as many of his lords as possible to ensure the kingdom was running as he wanted it to. His marriage to Kerix Stranthnk was particularly controversial due to the previously minor role of the Stranthnk family.
Geoth was eager to end many of the wars his father had started, in order to placate Republia. However, his moves towards peace were highly unpopular amongst the people, so much so that it led to a military coup during his reign. Geoth ended up paying off the leaders and allowing the army to go on a campaign across the sea, capturing land in the Red Sea. However, these excursions were largely fruitless and Geoth only built a few forts along the coast for his troops to live in. By the end of his reign, these forts were mostly abandoned and the military was growing restless again.
Geoth IV died under suspicious circumstances and his son, Ferran IV, took the throne after him.
