Domusanc Benedalo

Domusanc Benedalo has the reputation for being the most pious Domusanc, a reputation which they guard fervently.   While the Divine Spire and Intellectus Divinus certainly don't belong to any region or Domusanc, the region of Cyrancia overseen by Benedalo is closest to the Divine Spire, and the Domusanc makes it seat of operations in the nearest city to the holy mountain, so that it can always be in view of those living in the area. While traditionally the Pontifex assigned to a Domusanc is one who originated from the region, many members of the clergy come from Cyrancia, where study of religious teachings begins, essentially, from the earliest a child can begin to understand it.   Domusanc Benedalo has a reputation for being strict, moreso than any Domusanc except perhaps Drusurys, who views the rigidity of Benedalo as being a kindred spirit due to the emphasis on military discipline found in Domusanc Drusurys. Those of Domusanc Benedalo revere Allenial the most highly among the Benevolent Ones, and pride themselves on their devotion to the teachings and interpretations of Alleniel's will presented by the Church.   Due to the prevalence of religious ideology across the country, Domusanc Benedalo benefits from being a faction which all the others want good relations with, or at least neutral ones. Benedalo's reputation of piety means that in many cases it need only ask for something from another Domusanc, and it will receive what was requested, at least to some degree. This is something that, wisely, Domusanc Benedalo doesn't exploit often, as doing so not only strains relations but if done without tact could also stain their reputation, as avarice and exploitation are frowned upon by all of the Benevolent Ones.   Benedalo is not without services to provide, however. Their reputation for mastery of the law and comprehension of religious texts makes those of Benedalo sought after among nobility in other regions as advisors, educators, and arbitrators, which also helps reinforce their diplomatic position with the other regions and remind the other Domusancs of Benedalo's influence. They are unsurprisingly the biggest advocates for the integration of Church doctrine into secular law, and the Electus has hailed from Cyrancia more often than any other region.
