Taytaman
The Taytaman people are the dominant ethnic group in the eponymous Taytama region. They are probably not the original inhabitants of the region, instead being a mix of Metsamish settlers moving north and Talvinen settlers moving south. Following a period of war between them and others, most prominently the Baxstir, the two groups of settlers blended together and eventually developed into the modern Taytamans. Taytaman settlements can also be found along the north-eastern coast of Taytama, but their influence does not extend far inland and they are generally a minority. Owing to the general cultural unity and isolationism of the Taytamans, they have a relatively homogenous culture. The majority of Taytamans belong to either the Läntikoa or Usriad cultures. The Usriad are predominant in the western Taytaman nations, while the Läntikoa are present to the east, along the Taytaman peninsula. The difference between the two is that the Usriad place less of an emphasis on the festivals of their religion, Tul Tanzu, and more on daily piety and reverence, while the Läntikoa express their religiosity with more intense festivals.
Taytamans who are not a part of the two main groups can be categorized as Vhas Pojdea or Vuorizek. The Vhas Pojdea are mainly present in minority communities along the northeast coast of Taytama, and are very integrated into foreign cultures and societies. Consequentially, they place less value on centralized religions and festivals, and more on individual spirituality. The Vhas Pojdea probably also have some Siriasčulai blood due to mixing over time, but this is minor. Due to the Siriasčulai and Taytamans being descended from different groups of northwards migrants, separated by many years, the only Taytaman group to come across significant numbers of Siriasčulai were the Vhas Pojdea. The Solstice Trial is of higher importance to the Vhas Pojdea than it is to any other Taytaman group, as the climate is colder and winter more of a threat, making summer more venerated. In contrast to the foreign-integrated Vhas Pojdea, the Vuorizek are mainly present in and around the hills and mountains of curving around Taytama, and are the most isolated of the Taytamans. They are extremely ethno-religious, and quite radical compared to regular Taytamans, following a number of old religious laws and codes over modern, centralized systems. They, however, do not cause trouble as long as their autonomy is respected.
Taytamans have fair skin and a large amount of population with blue eyes; when not blue, their eyes are almost always brown. Their hair ranges from very dark along the eastern coast to blonde by the Pamalon River and sandy along the northeast coast. In general, the Usriad and Vhas Pojdea are more likely to have blonde hair and blue eyes, as these groups mixed the most with the Talvinen, while the Läntikoa are the least likely due to the increased amount of residual Baxstir once found along the coast.
