Secyudugaart Khanate

The Secyudugaart Khanate, more commonly known as the Second Centaur Khanate, was a Clesentians Centaur Khanate which united the majority of the Plaires Centralis l'Ouesse during the mid 18th century, before declaring itself a united Clesentia. Due to a lack of contignuity between the Second Centaur Khanate and the first Khanate of Clesentia, and the repeated failures of the Khanate to control the entire Clesentian population, it is rarely referred to as such, but, starting in 1775 SC, its Khan styled himself as Khan of Clesentia and Secyudugaart. The Khanate was destroyed by Blazennia in 1791, and disintegrated into tribes, but technically survied as a remnant state until 1803.

History

The Secyudugaart tribes was one of many to form in the wake of two major events: the Khanate of Clesentia and the arrival of the Enctör. The fall of Clesentia in 1225 had already left the centaur population in disarray, and the ethnic cleansing and downright genocidal wars raged on the Plaires Centralis in the following 50 years were devastating to the human and centaur populace, though the centaurs would end up victorious, leaving ample room for new tribes and new bonds to be forged on the depopulated steppe. However, shortly after the remaining humans were driven out or slain, the human Enctör tribes from the north tore across the plains. The Enctör tribes had recently been driven onto the plains by the Orentesh people, and they had killed or assimilated the majority of the population in the Plaires Centralis l'Orent. However, intent on finding new lands to settle, they attacked southwest, tearing through the war-weary centaurs and arriving on the edge of the steppe by 1265. This destroyed the few centaur tribes and khanates which had formed a semblence of normalcy in the south, putting further pressure on the north, and leading to the end of the last few human settlements south of Lake Arcesiel. Fleeting the Enctör, many centaurs ended up swapping places with the Enctör, leaving for the Plaires Centralis l'Orent. Some centaurs, however, were bold, and crept back into the lands recently crushed by the Enctör, as they were even emptier than the rest of the bloody steppe. Following the Enctör defeat at the hands of the Kingdom of Fraspika, these tribes became bolder, and by 1291 had coalesced into the Secyudugaart.
For their bravery in riding the heels of their destroyers, the Secyudugaart tribe gained control over part of the [tbd] river. More fertile than much of the rest of the plains, this small region was important for grazing, and allowed Secyudugaart to raise larger herds than many of their rivals. It was also an important source of trade with the centaurs who had set out for the east, and the Secyudugaart played an important role in this industry as well. Although it took many years, by the late 1600s Secyudugaart had assumed primacy over much of the southwestern plains, uniting much of what had come to be known as the Zalmachegch centaurs. They began heavily raiding the Enctör, who had little to no preparation or ability to fight defensively. The success of these raids attracted many centaurs to their cause, eager for loot, swelling their ranks further. Emboldened and empowered by their new soldiers, the Secyudugaart forces conquered the remainder of the Plaires Centralis l'Ouesse in a series of long and bloody campaigns, until finally their only foes in the west were the Enctör. At this point, they declared a Khanate. Raids and counter-raids continued, preventing the Khanate from sending enough forces to dominate the eastern Clesentians. Instead, they focused on the west, and in 1775 overwhelmed the Enctör. Many of these humans fled west, escaping through mountain passes that were far more trecherous for the centaur peoples to pursue through. Pursuing the fleeting Enctör, the Khanate's forces pressed into the High Plains of the far western steppe, where they came into contact with the Erleting for the first time. As these people were mostly tribal and had never faced centaurs before, they presented a disorganized and unprepared foe, and were swiftly subjugated. However, by this point, the Blazennian Empire had been roused. Led by Eberhald I Lumiäire, whose forces were aided by the Enctör refugees who had fled into their lands, the Blazennian Empire routed the Secyudugaart forces, seizing control of and fortifying the mountain passes, ensuring no centaur would pass through again.
This destruction led to the collapse of Secyudugaart as a unified entities. Most of the remaining army units fled back to the high steppe, where they eventually coalesced into their own tribes. A few stragglers reached the court, but by and large the entire army (except the units in the east) was destroyed or no longer of use. Immediately invaded by the eastern tribes, these forces were themselves forced to flee, but they would form the nucleus of the remnant Secyudugaart, which managed to hang on for a few more years. However, pressed by the Fraspikans, invading from the south and intent on establishing the new Kingdom of Nashiade as a buffer between them and the centaurs, and beset by disloyal tribes, the Khanate would finally fall in a rebellion to in 1803, marking its end. With the death of Secyudugaart's male warrior class, the tribe was left undefended and its remnants were swiftly forced to swear fealty to whatever tribes would take such oaths.
