Nostrasia
Nostrasia was a region of Kingdom of Espatrasia. A poor region which was sparsely populated by actual Fremedhian people, it was mainly known for its large numbers of slaves and tribesmen, and it covered the modern nation of Lioseas as well as western Arbonna. It was granted to the youngest son of chancellor Cardebrand of the Rembolois, Thervin, who had little influence in the court and was happy to receive anything at all. Thervin, however, was extremely poor at managing his domain, and within the first 2 years had already suffered several small slave revolts. Nonetheless, he rode to his eldest brother's aid upon hearing that his lands, Oustrasia, had been invaded by the middle two brothers.
This was a terrible decision, and the entire country erupted into rebellion within the year. Still, he refused to give in and continued operating Nostrasia from the lands he occupied in Estrasia. Although he maintained that Nostrasia still existed well into the 1130s, long after his brothers' domains were all lost and by which time his army had devolved into a small bandit corps. In 1136, Thervin was captured by an expeditionary force from the nation of Thislana, which was assisting the newly independent halfling realm of Pixenell in clearing out bandits as it expanded into formerly Fremedhian lands. This ended all pretenses of his royal status, and he was shipped to Lioseas, where he was promptly executed.
