Oustrasia
Oustrasia was a region of the Kingdom of Espatrasia which covered the central and eastern parts of modern Ambolaine as well as northwestern Sictellas. Granted to the eldest son of Cardebrand of the Rembolois, Pepin, it contained the capital of Espatrasia which made it the most powerful and influential state, allowing Pepin to gain influence over the king. This would lead to war and the dissolution of Espatrasia in 1108, when two of Pepin's siblings attacked his domain.
Despite his political influence, Pepin was unprepared for military conflict and Oustrasia was quickly overrun. forcing him to retreat into the hills. This actually proved to be good tactical sense as his brothers were never able to drive him out, allowing him to make a triumphant return into his lands after the collapse of Estrasia in 1115. Although Pepin skirmished with his brother in Sustrasia, this was inconclusive. He was soon forced to turn from fighting his brother however, as his domain was invaded by Old Fraspika in 1120. Mustering his forces, he was easily defeated in the battle of Quevece as several of his allied tribes defected sides. Although it took several years for Fraspika to consoldiate their gains and take control of the territory, Oustrasia itself crumbled immediately after this battle.
