Djinn

Djinns are a subspecies of genies, closely related to the Ifrit and Marids. The Djinn have an affinity for the air, and usually live in floating castles and mansions when free. They are a bit weaker individually than the other two types of spirit, but make up for it in their loyalty to one another and more friendly attitude towards mortals. In past ages, many djinn were bound by wizards who took advantage of their trust, and event which worsened the relationship between djinn and the primary races of the eighth realm and also weakened the djinn resistance to ifrit and marids, which resulted in many djinn now being forced to serve one or the other. Djinn, despite being weaker than marids and ifrits, are still much stronger than a regular mortal.
