Spideyworld

It has dramatic mountains, misty valleys, frozen waterfalls, immense landborne glaciers, and labyrinthine caverns that fill the upper crust. It has an active water cycle, although ice is the dominant form of water. Days are typically overcast, with cloud cover disappearing only every few years.

Most of Spideyworld's life resides in the caverns that riddle the crust. The surface is home to hardy moss, lichen, mold, and fungi. The caverns are home to a variety of insect life, small flying mammals, worms, and fungi. Some caverns are filled with water and provide habitat for darkness-dwelling aquatic life. Spideyworld evolved the Anansi, a sentient species of large insectoid creature.   The Anansi's development was enhanced significantly through the usage of the Gate network.   Spideyworld is home to a variety of multicolored glowworms. Sometimes, entire rooms are lit with a rainbow of light from the great variety of worms.   Spideyworld is home to the Lavapede, an enormous insectoid that burrows through sheer ice using a napalm-producing natural process.

Spideyworld can be mined for natural napalm if large numbers of Lavapedes are harvested.   Spideyworld has significant left-behind alien ruins, edible foodstuffs, and undiscovered technologies. The Anansi were able to build with metals, suggesting significant deposits of metallic ores in the crust.
