Anansi
The Anansi are a race of advanced intelligent alien life. Evidence of them was first found on "Scrud Eats Everything Land", where they had set up a temporary research post to study the planet's lifeforms. Data storage devices from this research station were retrieved, which is where information regarding the tech level and physiology of the species was determined. Their homeworld at Spideyworld has been visited, where a lot of information was gleaned about them.
The Anansi were intelligent, peaceful, scientific, communal, and democratic. They built and used tools, including mechanized transportation, solar energy, a web-fluid used for defense and construction, and computers. They cooked and used spices, aromatics, nightshades, and other flavorings to change the taste of their food. They were not warlike, and had not ever developed deadly weaponry.
Evidence of Anansi activity was also found on Nordic Frog Beach.
The Anansi are missing. The last information that is known about them is that the "Grand Doyen" summoned them on a "mass evacuation" to "crystalline stormy sentients construct ring".

The Anansi resemble a cross between a centaur and a spider. They have ten limbs, six for walking, two for interaction, and two more that can be used for either purpose.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities
The Anansi are known to be able to perceive sounds on both a higher and a lower frequency than humans can. They had compound vision. They did not possess a sense of smell. Their sense of touch was finely tuned, allowing them an approximation of "tremorsense".
The Anansi were evolved to live in caves, and so were known to use echolocation and other extrasensory powers to navigate.
