Rhoadin Frederson
Rhoadin Frederson was a Trebai woman who lived in the Fifth Era, after the Twenty-Year War.
Frederson was born in 8049 to a poor family, in a village that had been devastated by the Twenty-Year War. As a child, Frederson was fascinated by the Ren Berig, often using their legends and stories as an escape from a rough childhood. Frederson's parents perished of disease around the time she became an adult. Though she initially considered joining a Ren Berig tribe, she concluded that such a task would be too difficult, as they generally did not accept outside members. However, she did change her name to "Rhoadin," a Ren Berig name, before wandering east in search of a new place to live. Eventually, Frederson discovered a hunting commune on Aurora Point island led by Tycho Rimwater. Having grown up in a family of tanners, Frederson offered her services as a caretaker of pelts. She was accepted into the commune, and managed all the pelts that were harvested from the island's red-tail deer. She also became a hunter herself, joining some hunting parties into the island's woods. Frederson died in 8076 when Malevolence 5, a war machine stored on the island, was accidentally unleashed by miners that had settled there. Malevolence 5 caused those living on the island to gradually lose their minds, even becoming aggressive. Frederson, enraged and not thinking clearly by the machine, killed her friend Ferren Humphrey, a fellow member of the commune, and hanged him on a tree in the village square. She then ran off into the forest, throwing the village into complete chaos. Hiding out in a hunting cabin on the island, Frederson began to feel deep regret for what she had done. She was killed for her crime by Clara and Hoagy Beauregard, who found her in the cabin before moving on to hide somewhere else. Frederson's body was discovered by a party led by Marcilla Beauregard, who was on the island looking for her sister and uncle. She buried the woman's body as part of a memorial to those who had perished on the island.
