The planetary climate structure of Thaldris

Gehe zur deutschen Version: Die planetare Klimastruktur von Thaldris
Thaldris is a symmetrical planet whose climate behaves like a mirror image along the equator. The climate zones of the north repeat in reverse order on the southern hemisphere.

From the North to the Equator:

The endless ice sheet of the North Pole stretches majestically, where the last solid island groups slowly dissolve. Here begins the Arctic island zone, which transitions into the tundra island region, where vegetation becomes increasingly sparse. Further south, forests become denser in the temperate zone before finally reaching the warm core of the equatorial zone.

From the Equator to the South:

On the southern hemisphere, the same occurs, only in reverse. The equatorial zone transitions into the temperate zone, followed by the tundra island region and the Arctic island zone, until finally, the vast ice landscape of the South Pole concludes the journey.   Since the climate patterns repeat, geological and biological conditions remain largely identical—with only slight regional variations due to ocean currents or geological peculiarities.
