The Inhabited Ice Plain
Over centuries, the ice plain of Nyrian has been shaped not only by nature but also by the growing civilization of the Frost People. Their five great cities stretch across the frozen land, each with its own story and purpose.
Vintergard, the first settlement, lies deep within the western bay—where the Frost People first arrived and began their new life. Its streets follow the gentle curves of the ice, and its buildings are shaped by the necessity of defying the cold.
Farther east, near the massive ice wall, rises Virkin—the fortress city of the Rune Warriors. Wedged between the sharp-edged formations of Yodunskuld and the deep rift of Storar, this is a land of hardship and trials, where warriors forge their strength and test their limits.
In the northeast, among the mighty formations of Ismurna, lies Galdra, the home of the mages. Here, among ice walls that have grown over millennia, the knowledge of the Frost People is concentrated—hidden within cool halls where time itself seems to flow more slowly.
Skipti, the city of trade, stands precisely at the crossroads where the paths of the great cities meet. It is the economic heart of the land, a connection between past and future, a place where everything converges—merchants, travelers, scholars, warriors. Here, the king resides, the council convenes, and the fate of Nyrian is directed.
Far in the southwest, at the lower tip of the bay, lies Föndir—the city of expeditions and shipbuilding. Here, the Frost People strive for new shores, discoveries, and opportunities beyond the ice. The shipyards rise from the snow, and the waterways are lined with vessels ready to embark into the unknown.
Each of these cities is more than just a collection of houses—they are symbols of what the Frost People have built. Places that emerged from the wilderness yet remain deeply intertwined with it.
