Ranks of the Rune Warriors

Rune Warrior Company

The Rune Warrior Company is a highly organized military unit that ensures the survival and protection of the Frostmen. Each of the three major fortresses has several of its own companies, which operate independently but are under the supreme command of the Ice Patriarch, the highest-ranking military leader of all Frostmen.  

Ranks outside the Companies

Ice Patriarch (Supreme Commander): Presides over all three fortress companies and is responsible for overall strategy and coordination. The Ice Patriarch is not part of a single company.

Ice Warden (Commander of a Fortress): Elected every 6 years by the Ice Masters belonging to that fortress from among their own ranks.

 

Ranks within the Company

Ice Master (Commander, 1 per company): Leads the entire company and is responsible for strategic decisions, organization, and coordination of all squads. Each fortress selects one of its company commanders as Fortress Commander, who holds the title of Ice Warden but continues to command their company as well.

Frost Warden (Captain, 3 per company): Each leads one cohort consisting of 5 squads (each with 3 Frostblades and 1 Frostblade Master = 20 individuals). They coordinate tactics and work closely with the Ice Master.

(Frost) Blade Master (Squad Leader, 15 total): Leads a squad of three Frostblades and oversees tactical decisions at the squad level.

Frostblade (Soldiers, 45 total): The backbone of the company: battle-hardened soldiers trained in both melee and ranged combat.

Special Unit “Rune Elite” (5 members): Operates independently from the mid-level groups and reports directly to the Ice Master. Composed of experienced specialists with unique skills:

• Rune Mage: Expert in rune magic and its strategic application.

• Pathfinder: Specialist in navigation and locating resources or threats.

• Frost Healer: Responsible for the medical care and healing of the unit.

• Ice Logistician: Manages resupply and resource logistics for the company.

• Soulkeeper: Maintains morale and unity within the unit.
