New Reet City

NRC is broken out into 5 Outer Districts and 8 Inner Districts as well as a collection of farms surrounding the Whiskerwhip Marsh. Below are the high-level breakdowns of each section as well as some notable features & locations within each.

Inner Districts

Central Market

The large commercial district in the center of the city, often the focal location of holiday markets.

• New Reet Police Department (NRPD) HQ
• The Raven

Grand Market

The largest commercial district in the city, located to the north, northeast.

• Blockstyles: printing company, specializing in popular literature and children's books
• Vermo's Printing: printing company, specializing in high-end, high profile, and corporate printing
• Twinned Ink: printing company, specializing in bulk, official and academic documents

East Village

• New Heights Entertainment

Marble Steps

Home of most of the wealthier residents of NRC. The mage-cut stone steps leading to the elevated district are notoriously slippery during the winter or rainy weather.

NRC's interior also contains several non-district-zones.

Reet University for Greater Learning

Reet University for Greater Learning, known colloquially as RUGL, is the nation’s first organized liberal arts and adventuring educational facility

• Mix n Mash Club: A student brewing club that produces its own beer, cheap and popular with the RUGL student body.
• The Well-Rounded Scholar: A pub in the student center that caters to RUGL students.

Kintower Park

The Westwatch tower and the Eastwatch tower (collectively referred to as the Kintowers) stand in the northwest and southeast of the park.

Outer Districts

Outside the walls that surround the inner districts are 5 outer districts built on partially artificially created land, filled in as the city expanded. The outer districts tend to be home to a majority of the city's lower income, factory-working, and blue collar residents, due both to the proximity of the many factories and warehouses as well as the lower cost of living outside the city walls.

A wall was built around the landmass near the original limits as a protective measure against incursions across unguarded sections of the marsh. Several land bridges were formed by damming sections of the marsh from each other and filling islets between the central and outer land. There are now 5 land bridges leading in and out of the city.

NRC is completely surrounded by the Whiskerwhip Marsh.
