Using their mastery of magic, the Valaraith constructed great halls around the Doors, where they could study and experiment with their newfound power. Through these Doors, the elves discovered many wondrous worlds, but also great dangers, and they knew that their power must be used with great care. Nevertheless, the Táriporti remained a symbol of the elves' mastery of magic, and of their quest for knowledge and exploration beyond the bounds of their own world.
The Valaraith who mastered the ability to create portals to other world-planes were known as the Helcarandor, Plane Walkers. They were a highly specialized group of magicians, who spent years perfecting their craft. The portals they created were known as Táriporti , Doors to the Planes, and they allowed the elves to travel to other planes of existence, beyond the physical realm of Endórëmar.
The Helcarandor were held in high esteem by the elven people, as they were seen as the guardians of their realm, able to travel to other planes and gather knowledge and resources to protect their world from outside threats. The ability to travers through a Táriporti was known as Helcarandorië, Plane-Walking, and it was considered the pinnacle of elven magic, reserved only for the most talented and dedicated spellcasters.
The creation of a Táriporti was a complex and delicate process, requiring intense concentration and control over magical energies. The Helcarandor needed to use the largest and most powerfull Ciryathanor crystals to create a stable portal, which then could be opened and closed at will. These large crystals were known as Táristones, Plane Stones, and they were highly valued and guarded by the Helcarandor.
