Metaphysical / Paranormal event
Prior to Orondualasse, the elves had lived in harmony with nature for centuries, aware of the existence of Fairies and nature spirits. However, it was not until they began to communicate with these beings that they were able to tap into the power of magic.
Through the guidance of the nature spirits, the elves learned the art of Lírilindë, or "song of enchantment." They began with simple chants to aid and guide the natural world around them but quickly progressed to more complex songs that could change and enhance various facets of their lives.
The use of magic was not without controversy, however, and differing views on its proper use led to the splitting of the Elenathor into three distinct factions: the Valaraith, the Lómëanor, and the Nimrochith.
The division of the Elenathor was such a profound change to their way of life that many later agreed that it was the end of the first age of the world. The unity and brotherhood they had experienced throughout their wandering and settling was shattered, replaced by a new age marked by separation and suspicion. Despite this, however, the Elves continued to harness the power of Lírilindë, and the art of enchantment would play a pivotal role in shaping their future.
Orondualasse remains an important period in Elvish history. It marked a turning point in the development of the Elenathor and their relationship with the natural world, paving the way for further advancements and discoveries in the use of magic.
