KVASSI EMPIRE

The Kvassi Empire is made up of small kingdoms, regions, Lordships, baronies and city states in the Riddari region. The Kvassi Empride is the blending of two ancient warring civilizations half-way around the world. These two countries competed to settle and claim the Riddari. The empire (Gaonce Empire) that settled most of the lands was defeated in a battle at home and lost all the settlements to the other empire (The "Goldmanes"). As a result the Kvassi Empire has two different styles and yet is a blend of both. Most places are named in the defeated country's language but the people and new names are by people from the other country. Although the two ancient countries were at war settling the Ridari, the people living in the settlements didn't really hate each other, so as the winning country took over the Riddari, the other side was absorbed.

Structure

The Kvassi Empire is a government structure only. The "Empire" is physically located in a district of the Kingdom of Kvass called The Alabaster Garden. This "district" contains the royal family and most of the empirical officers as well as a massive garrison of troops loyal to the Empire (The Alabaster Guard).

Public Agenda

The Kvassi Empire rules over all of the Riddari. The Kingdom of Bine to the east is the Empire's biggest enemy. Kvassi and Bine are currently in a non-open warfare state, but there are often small skirmishes in the marshes.

History

The Goldmane created the Kingdom of Kvass during the Goldmane Expansion. Later the Goance Empire settlers retook the area during the Goldmane Purge with major help from The Weeping. The ruling Kvass family surrendered peacefully and swore an oath to the Goance Empire settlers, and switched sides, greatly aiding in the Goldmane Purge. Bieleigh Kvass, the daughter of Lord Illo Kvass was married to Kalgen Lorngran (the general of the Goance Settlers) as a sign of allegiance. Kalgen was killed in battle a few years later and Beileigh took up the cause, and eventually united all of Riddari under one banner and formed the Kvassi Empire.
