Alterations

The building was expanded with a tavern section in the front, the older original Inn part is now used for boarding only. A large outdoor porch/deck was added later, and patrons often spend summer nights drinking under the stars.

Architecture

Daub and wattle building with a slate single roof. The building is low slung with a high peaked roof. The inside features large timbers and well-made wooden furniture. It contains a beautiful oak bar and a large stew pot over a fire. An old harp stands in the corner by the fireplace. The chairs and couches are low and comfortable, with patrons often falling asleep in the tavern. The ceilings are low making the place very cozy. Large wooden columns support great beams running across the ceiling of the rooms. Everything is worn and smooth but well kept and clean.

History

The original inn section was built before the village of Bonsk was founded, back when Bonsk Castle was still active. After the castle was abandoned, the Inn was expanded with a front section featuring a tavern below and more inn rooms above. The inn has been used to comfort travellers for over 200 years.
