In life she was the college campus prep-girl, with a membership in an exclusive sorority, and the girl you wanted to organize campus activities. During the last years of her master's degree in business she caught the eye of a Sir Murphy Hughes. An english Tremere trying to establish a black market for Tremere-made talismans and potions, as a means to trade for valuable vitae to send back to the Vienna Chantry. He revealed himself to Olivia and laid out a simple offer: become an immortal business-woman, with the potential for great arcane power and deal in occult and arcane products; or let him wipe her memory of the meeting and go about her mortal life. When it became clear this was a one-time offer. Olivia took it, and took to immortality and the cut-throat kindred politics like fish to water.

In the early 2010s, just after the Destruction of Vienna she was invited by Abraham DuSable to join the Chicago Chantry. As their recruiter. She was to help them bring in non-Pyramid Tremere back into the fold. Though the work proved difficult, it didn't take long for her to gather a collection of coerced and blackmailed kindred, both Camarilla and Anarchs, whom would do her bidding when pressed.
Having noticed the actor-turned-chemistry-professor Caspian Milos, and finding herself impressed with how talented he was. She made a deal with DuSable and got his permission to Embrace Caspian in 2013.

However, as the years passed. Olivia proved herself a rather cruel sire. Treating Caspian as much as a puppet and a slave as she did her other kindred "allies". This neglect and cruelty eventually led to Caspian Milos defecting from the Chicago Chantry and joining the Camarilla as one of the sheriff's hounds.
In early 2021, after a series of events involving the Roosevelt Coterie attempting to stop the first Prince of Chicago from performing a coup of the Chicago Court, and the Chicago Chantry being vaguely implicated with the coup. Prince Kevin Jackson was convinced to issue a blood hunt on Abraham DuSable and Olivia Palmer. That same evening Olivia attempted to escape Chicago with DuSable - after receicing a premonition of impending doom only a couple nights prior. They were however intercepted by the sheriff's hounds, and Olivia Palmer med Final Death when Ashley Beavis commited Diablerie on her.
