Celia

A university grad-student whom had her life upended when an unknown Lasombra gave her the Embrace.
She was on the run for weeks until the Roosevelt Coterie found her on a job to deal with an unknown serial Maquerade Breacher. Now she works with Sierra Van Burrace to make Pulso del Mundo into a tool to spread news and information amongst Kindred.

Appearance

A short, stout hispanic woman in her early 20s. Her skin is almost interily grey most of the time, not having made the Blush of Life a part of her nightly routine quite yet. She has long, straight black hair with side-swept bangs.
She favours traditionally feminine clothing, and dresses for the occassion. Now with both the backing of Sierra Van Burrace as her surrogate sire, and once again having access to her family's wealth. She dresses with fancy dresses and jewelry when in formal or high society gatherings.

History

Araceli Rivera grew up in a peaceful, wealthy hispanic household. Often called "Celia" for short. Her parents were the masterminds of Pulso del Mundo, a spanish-language multimedia empire dedicated to fashion, cuisine, and gonzo journalism. They tried to prime Celia into inheriting and taking the reins of the company.
However, wanting to do more than sit in a boardroom for the rest of her life, wanting to do actual, active good in the world. She came with a compromise. She would study public policy, and if it didn't turn out as she'd hoped she'd switch to business and take over Pulso del Mundo.

In the summer of 2020 she went missing. It started with her seeing figures and movement in the shadows, shadows that seemed to have grown darker. Eventually she took the Blue Line towards her flat on campus, and all she remembers of the train ride is the shadows growing deeper, rapidly approaching her, then her fighting for her life. Her next memory is waking up on campus, several of her friends dead with their throats ripped open. Blood over Celia.

For over two months Celia was on the run from mortal police (and unbeknownst to her kindred trying to keep the Masquerade as well). Eventually the Roosevelt Coterie caught up to her, Charles Davids' premonitions and combined with Harry Owens' skills with hacking into camera systems making quick work of tracking her. After a short scuffle the coterie convinced Celia to come with them, so they could help her. They took her to Sierra Van Burrace. Whom took her in has her ward and surrogate childe. On the condition Celia would take the reins of Pulso del Mundo and find a way to use it as a means to better spread news and information amongst Kindred; or failing that make effective use of the wealth it generated.

Though she has had minimal contact with them since becoming Sierra Van Burrace's ward, she is eternally thankful to them for helping her out of the darkest time in her life, and always takes the chance to catch up when she comes across them by chance.
