Basic Laws of Olympia

There are numerous smaller sub laws for many of these but the basic tenets below create the structure of Olympian Society.

1. Aiding the Horrors or Raiders is strictly forbidden. Those who aid Outside Forces in harming Olympia or its citizens will be punished to the utmost of the law.
2. Those born within Olympia are granted automatic citizenship. Those traveling in from the Wilds must be checked and approved by the Gatewardens before being granted citizenship. New entrants must provide proof of being able to assist the city before admittance will be granted. The Gatewardens will provide evidence of this process to the Council who will, upon approval, grant citizenship papers.
3. Willful murder of another individual is prohibited. Accidental murder, should such be found to be the case, may be atoned for.
4. Assault of another individual is prohibited. Assault of a Gatewarden, an Oracle, a Themesian Judge, or a member of the Council carries a higher penalty.
5. Theft of property is expressly forbidden. This includes Ark resources as held by the city.
6. Property ownership and inheritance may be determined by individuals and certified by the Themesian Courts should they not violate any other pre-existing ownership rites.
7. Slavery and indentured servitude are expressly forbidden. All Olympian citizens will receive fair compensation for their labors.
8. All citizens shall contribute to society either by monetary taxation, donation of goods, or contracted service.
9. Freedom of speech, freedom of faith, and freedom of identity are expressly guaranteed. The Olympian government does not care what its citizens say - hate speech is a noted exception - what its citizens follow for faith, or who or what they identify as in their personal lives or relationships.
