Rufino Petito

A giant of man with a small name, Rufino Petito is a study of opposites, simultaneously exuding sophistication and an approachable air of someone who has worked hard for what they’ve gotten. But mostly, Rufino Petito is someone you desperately do not want to underestimate.   Rufino grew up in a lower middle class home in a borough of the Ares Octant, breathing in the smoke and chemicals of the Factory District before it began to modernize for worker and city safety. He never complained about his lot, believing in working hard and helping the neighborhood, but also never forgiving a slight. He has since moved to Metropolis, but makes regular trips back to the Factory District to meet with Union Boy members.   A proud member of The Union Boys, Rufino rose up the ranks to serve as a Union Boss, following in his father’s footsteps. He frequently argues for worker’s rights, while at the same time promising support for favors to be named later.   Rufino worked in the Factory District for many years, toiling in hard, unsafe conditions before following in his father’s (Georgio Petito) footsteps, joining the Union Boys. He discovered a knack for public speaking and swayed his former coworkers to seek better conditions, staging a few strikes and bargaining with the factory employers for great gains in contracts and concessions. What’s whispered behind the scenes are his other strengths in leveraging his imposing size and will to more nefarious ends, growing The Union Boys’ influence. He proved popular enough among the workers to win the election of a Council seat for the Ares Octant, and if a few palms were greased along the way, that’s just how things are done in the Factory District.  

Physical Description

Rufino is tall even for a troll, standing over eight feet. He is showing his age, rumored to be in the 80s, but his silver hair is always styled and his eyes sharp behind his trademark dark sunglasses. He dresses in tailored dark suits, which for his meta type must be exceedingly expensive.
