Ivan Riordan
Ivan is one of Hephaestus's most prolific inventors. When the mood strikes him, he serves as an adjunct professor of robotics, engineering, and LOSTech study at the University of Apollo. His current obsession is the study of the Hephaestus Device.
Ivan idolized the Ark Running side of his family. He was devastated by the loss of one cousin and the lingering, seemingly-incurable sickness of the other. In an effort to aid them, he dedicated his life to the understanding of LOSTech. He was partially responsible for cracking the medical technology that led to the cure for Melanie's illness - an accomplishment he treasures over all else to this day. Mel has been known to closely monitor his myriad inventions since then for potential ethics violations, which he accepts with good humor and theatrical grumbling. Now that his family has been restored, he has adopted a daughter, a bright young girl named Sage, who is already showing an interest in coding.
