Louis Carthus
Louis is the Mayor's son in Grimmbric, while he is a Maned Cat he disagrees with a lot of their superiority over the other races, particularly the Moonkin. Because he doesn't have this aversion he became close friends with Ivan Grimm at a young age and was one of the main reasons Ivan's Grandfather ended up on the town council. Louis also has an interest in history, often having his nose delved into a book reading about what the world was once like. This is where he developed his philosophy from as he once read a book talking about how Eclipsism was originally supposed to be structured and became annoyed when he saw how the religion was practices today.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Louis is able bodied though he is not overly muscular. Generally he would be described as an average Maned Cat, not particularly able in any areas.
Body Features
Louis sports the light stripes on his arms and legs, a trait common in the Carthus family.
Facial Features
His mane is growing out and has began to puff out, he has a smooth jaw and medium light blue eyes.
Apparel & Accessories
He wears a variety of cloaks generally darker blues, greens and reds. When not in a cloak he will wear button up vests and long trousers.
Specialized Equipment
While equipment may be the wrong word to describe it, Louis always carries with him a trusty pen and notebook recording ideas, beliefs and notes all throughout the day, the pen being especially important to him as that pen was entrusted to him by his uncle who passed away before Louis' adulthood.

Family Ties
Arthur Carthus (Father) - His father is the mayor of Grimmbric and has been for the last decade and has ties in administration even when he was a young boy. Louis' relationship with his father is mixed, they have days where Louis is able to make a genuine connection with his father which has led to greater freedoms for the Moonkin in the town and on other evenings they butt heads constantly often leading to Louis leaving the household for the evening to stay with Ivan Grimm.
Alice Carthus (Mother) - His mother is a noble of the town and owns the jewelry. She has a stronger relationship with he son however it is suffers from the same issues as Arthur though instead of becoming argumentative, she is just dismissive often outright blowing him off or simply leaving the room.
Remy Carthus (Uncle) (Deceased) - His uncle was his mentor even before his relationship with his parent's soured he was always closer with his Uncle often going with him on short trips to neighboring towns. Remy was a merchant and visited many towns around the Republic but as his health began to decline his trips began venturing out to fewer towns. In his latter years he spent most of his days in Grimmbric continuing to strengthen Louis' beliefs and encouraged him to explore more. His death struck Louis deeply causing him to be far more quiet and reserved for a time and often remaining at home or alone. When Ivan helped pull him out of the spiral he seemed to have considerable improvement, but deep down his death still deeply effects him. Thoughts about his uncle will often appear in his journal entries and notes, which has led to him being more protective of his notebooks.
