Airships
Airships are the primary goods transport vehicle of Novidera used for their high cargo capacity and ease of use. And are known to move at a fast pace along specialized jet streams that only the Truffleborn know about. While in the past light gasses such as hydrogen and helium have been used to life such machines in the current era, Soul Crystals are used to lift the vehicle into the sky and is far less expensive or flammable than previous iterations
Power Generation
In most airships a steam engine is used to generate rotational power that powers the ships various systems. Diesel has been used in some cases but as it currently stands the engine is very inefficient. Soul-Steam powered airships are possible but because the technology is forbidden now airship has actually taken flight that uses this power.
Propulsion
A steam engine powers the massive fans in the back and sides of the ship. The fans on the side are for rotation of the ship while a set of fans on the top and bottom allows for ship to move up and down.
Armor and defense
If the airspace is dangerous enough it will be reinforced or cannons will be mounted on its sides or its weight/carrying capacity may be reduced to allow for faster speeds.
Communication Tools & Systems
Airships have very little in the way of communication but they have signals that use both sound and light to briefly communicate with the ground and other airships. They have also have had banners installed on there sides for advertisements or to quickly spread news throughout the realm.
