Fenwick
Fenwick is the capital of the 20 Duchies, it is situated on the Sallisend river where it meets the sea.

The city is mostly human but has some areas of the city where other races are more welcome, such as the south side docks and the outer city.
Government
The city is ruled by the Duke Malonar Greybank with the assistance from the council which is appointed from prominent members of the community. The council is made up of 1 representative from all the artisans guild as well as a Greywatch leader and a colonel from the garrison, these people are supposed to advise the Duke but mostly they run the day to day city problems and try to accommodate the dukes changeable ideas.
Defences
The city is ringed by large walls created before the death of Caurus they are 20ft high and have guard towers all along the course. There is a small section of the walls that have collapsed near the south side where there is only rubble. There is a sizable garrison in the city of well trained troops from all over the Duchies, the palace itself is protected by an elite unit fromGreybank and is run by Dravor Greybank. The outside of the walls are cleared for 100 paces to allow the guards to see attackers, apart from the Fen slums where a tent city of refugees and poor has sprang up in the last 10 years.
Infrastructure
The famous Fenwick shipyards are located in city, these yards make some of the largest ships in the world and are known across the continent. There is also a huge amount of trade traveling through the city, the river acts as the main highway in the duchies and anything traveling through the city is taxed.
Guilds and Factions
The main factions in the Fenwick artisans guild which controls the artisans and guilds, such as the adventuring guild and tradesmen guild. There is also the Military in the city which are the main garrison, which have little to do with politics but to police the streets, the palace guard who rarely leave the palace complex, and the The Grey wactch who operate in the city but it is unknown what they do, politicians and criminals are both justly scared of a visit in the night. Then there is the Duke himself who does not care for the city itself but is more focused on hunting and tournaments, but packs of nobles from across the land fight for his attention and gifts.
