When Ruyan realizes that Bletz will come and take over the world, he sends Ruyan north to Magar's Cove for her protection.
They send their son Ru to be adopted by Bletz knowing that Ruyan will be killed.
Ruyan has planned that Ru will help Ruyi kidnap Kiloa, who is Bletz's daughter and take her away and marry her, which he does.
