Erimos
The Capital city of the Erimos Consortium and major economic hub of the region of Vanyalindarë.
Government
The city is governed by a council of five members. Those members are appointed by the various merchant and crafting guilds of the city.
Districts
Erimos is home to five districts. Each district is walled and gated, allowing the city guard to better deal with handling traffic and any trouble that might arise. Each district also has an outpost for the city guard, while the main headquarters for the city guard is located in the Market Ward.
The Habor District
Despite it being called the Harbor district, that is no longer it’s main function and hasn’t been since before the Great Upheaval. The waters of the bay that once were deep enough for large ships are now to shallow and treacherous for them to navigate. There is still a small but dedicated fleet of fishing vessels that fish in the bay, but the primary function of the district is dedicated to warehouses, textile manufacturers and fire-based crafters such as blacksmiths.
The Market Ward
While not at the literal heart of the city, this district is the city’s life blood. It’s where a lot of the merchants set up shops and for larger businesses, were they have their offices and headquarters. It also happens to be where the government buildings for the city reside as well as the governing body of the Erimos Consortium are located.
The Noble’s District
Once, long ago, when there were nobles in the city, this was where they built their homes. Now, those homes have mostly been turned into inns and taverns. This is the district where you’ll find most of the larger residences in the city. Some of the more wealth merchants also live here. They have bought and renovated the old manner houses to be their residents.
The Crafters Ward
This district is home to a lot of the crafters who are not found in the Harbor District. This is also where a lot of the various crafting guilds have their guild houses. You’ll also find a fair few store fronts where the various crafters are selling their goods, although many of them sell to merchants who resell the items in their own stores, or ship them throughout the region or beyond.
Over time this district has also become the de facto home for the magical arts. Most of the magic shops in the city are located in this region. This also means that a lot of magical focused learning and many of the libraries of the city are located in this district.
