Jhatee Confederacy
The Jhatee Confederacy is the Government of the Jhatee People. The Confederacy was formed 74 years ago after the Whocent Republic first broke the warp barrier, as a means of keeping the peace. However, the central government of the Jhatee is weak, and most of the legislative and judicial power still lies in the individual nations.
Each nation has a strong cultural identity and a long history of hating each other.
THe Three major players are the Whocent_Republic , the Scose_Union and the Lale_Synthesis
Structure
The Jhatee Confederacy is set up with Senators from each Nation on a Planetary Congress. The number of Senators sent is based on the wills of the individual nation, but is currently limited at max 25 Senators per nation. Thus, all nations within the Confederacy sends the max allotted number. Each Nation may also send one Judge to be on a Confederate Supreme Court.
The Congress writes bills to be sent to the President to be signed into law. The Supreme Court interpreters the Confederate Laws and sees that it adheres to sound logic and reason.
In theory.
In practice, the Confederacy is ground to a stalemate every year as the Senators and the Courts split down along National lines and get nothing done. Most of the actual power is held within individual states.
Technological Level
The Jhatee have broke the Warp barrier nearly a century ago. Due to needing to adapted to the Shackleton_Expanse, have evolved to have advance warp drives capable of Warp 7 within the Expanse. They utilize an Variable Geometry Warp Field to work around and adjust for disturbances to the subspace and gravity that happens in the Shackleton.
Their Sensors are on par with Starfleet. Some exploration ships have advance sensors.
Instead of standard phasers, they use a focused Graviton beam weaponry, mimicking some of the effects from the Shackleton. [Mechanically, a Graviton beam is Devastating Quality (+1 diff for repairs), and Piercing 1]. They utilize standard Photon Torpedoes.
Computer Tech is just breaching Isolinear Chips, with military and government applications using it. Personal devices might still use duotronics.
Medical Technology, especially that of Psionics, has advances to the point to allow for cerebral implants to enhance and expand the Jhatee's natural psionics. However, such a practice is controversial.
