Lale Synthesis

The Lale Synthesis is the newest Nationality to appear on Jhatee Confederacy, appearing merely 120 years ago, 40 years before Warp drive. They love tech and think it will bring them enlightenment and unity. They have the highest tech levels on the planet. Socially they are hands off unless you disrupt manufacturing and development. They also have extensive psionic enhancing implants and live in a augmented reality with the internet being overlaid on top of everything, and they are in constant contact with each other. They have true telepathy among members of their own nation and Empathy with those outside it. They live in close knit communities of thousands in a constant stream of information and senses. Talking to an indivisual Lale member may make them seem distracted and flaky, as they are constantly getting a stream of infomation from their network. However, they can mute this stream at will and control the notifications.   However, they are the new nation on the planet, and have little in way of military might. They are also under heavy sanctions and prejudiced because of their self augmentations.   Cybernetic Culture   The Lale Synthesis grew out of a group of people who believes in technological singularity and enlightenment. They see technology as a way of enhancing themselves and truly seeing through other's eyes. This has put them on a cutting edge of computing technology and communications, as well has medical research.   The Lale Synthesis have a strict code of consent and they do not preform the augmentation surgery on anyone under the age of adulthood. This is also because of medical risk if this surgery is done before the brain is mature. Lale Children are raised with technology and slowly taught meditation techniques in order to handle the flow of information. At the Age of Ascension, they undergo intense medical and psychological screenings to ensure a good match. Rejections and deaths from the surgery are kept at a minimum, but they do still happen at a rate of 0.47%.  

Envoys

Those who cannot and do not undergo Ascension are called to become Envoys of the Synthesis. These individuals are trained in the way of the Synthesis, but for one reason or another cannot or do not become a part of it. Thus, they are semi-exiled from the general community and sent out into the world to be missionaries for their cause. Envoys will go into other Jhatee states as immigrants, and spread their cultural insight, attempting to gain converts to send back to the Synthesis. Envoys will also stand as guardians, attempting to influence public opinion of the Synthesis, or sabotage efforts to harm them. Envoys are not above domestic terrorism to protect the Synthesis as a whole.   However, in order to not influence the decision of the Lale Youth, Envoys are shunned from the greater community, and are only allowed to interact with the upper echelon of the Lale Synthesis. This is seens as a noble sacrifice in order to protect the Synthesis as a whole.   Those who wholly reject the Lale teachings are similarly exiled, with no chance of return or contact.
