The Namwyr Forest

The Namwer is a dense, ancient forest located to the East of the Emarian Moors. The Namwyr blends nature and highly developed cities. The region’s people, the Namwerians, are Mentat-Sylvans—a unique combination of two major divisions of Spark Magic dominated but old bloodlines born of the forest. Namwyrians revere both logical study and the natural world. Their cities are integrated into the forest, built both above and below the towering trees, with buildings and structures seamlessly woven into the natural landscape. Bridges, elevated platforms, and underground caverns make up the intricate systems of Namwerian civilization, all designed to maintain harmony with the environment.

Namwyr Society

The Namwerians are a people of intellect and nature, believing in the pursuit of knowledge through study, observation, and connection to the natural world. The Mentat focus on mental acuity is coupled with a deep reverence for Sylvan magic that keeps the natural balance intact. Their cities house some of the finest universities in the lands, producing scholars and magical practitioners who are both experts in logical reasoning and natural magic. Their scientific pursuits are intertwined with their spiritual understanding of the land.

The Namwerians are also known for their acceptance of Techno innovation. They have made strides in integrating magic and technology. Many of the most powerful Techno-magic artifacts and research are housed in Namwerian universities, where the blending of magic and technology is encouraged. The Veil of Yvara is one such example. The Veil, one of the most powerful Techno-artifacts, has been fully embraced, by The Mentat Council, seeing it as a necessary tool to protect their intellectual freedom and the sanctity of their work.

Government Structure

As the heart of Mentat activity and scholarship, the Namwyr is governed by The Mentat Council. The Council oversees the registration of all Mentats born across Sangrithar, ensuring that their powers are properly trained and controlled, as well as governing the day-to-day elements of Namwyrian Society.

The Elder Mentat, currently Marcos Revana, serves as the elected leader of the Mentat Council. Revana himself is a powerful Mentat, deeply knowledgeable of Mentat techniques and feared for his ability to see through illusions and detect the subtlest manipulation of thought. Known for his calm demeanor and rational approach, Revana's his decisions can be swift and uncompromising when it comes to maintaining order within the Mentat community.
