Marcos Revana

Marcos was the first born of Alric and Selene Revana of House Revana, an ancient Namwyrian Mentat-Sylvan bloodline renowned for clarity of thought and integrity. Known as impartial arbiters in mental and magical disputes, House Ravana had long had a leading role in Namwyrian society. His mother, Selene, was a distinguished Council Monitor and his father, Alric, was a philosopher and archivist focused on theories of consciousness and illusion.

After decades serving on The Mentat Council, Marcos gained a reputation for being incorruptible—a man who could not be bought, tricked, or misled. When the former Elder passed away under mysterious circumstances, Marcos was unanimously elected as Elder Mentat—an extremely rare event that hinted at the Council's desperate need for a stabilizing figure.

Marcos' reign has ushered in a golden age for Mentats. Operating under the Mentat Oath and ensuring thru his ability to see through deception that Mentats do not go undocumented, trust and acceptance of Mentats in Sangrithar is at its best since the Mentat Wars. Marcos believes that the mind is sacred, and that manipulation of thought (either overtly or subtly) must be vigilantly policed. However, he also recognizes that compassion without discipline leads to ruin, and does not hesitate to make hard decisions: exile, mind-shielding, or the rare sequestering of Mentats who pose too great a threat to the destabilization of the Mentat Oath.

Cognition Unveiled: Marcos naturally sees through mental illusions, emotional manipulations, and deceit. Deceptions appear to him as fractures or stains in the "light" of a person’s mind.

Resonance of Truth: His very presence encourages hidden truths and emotions to surface. Those nearby find it difficult to maintain lies or false feelings.

Aetherial Bloom: Revana subtly alters the ambient natural forces—such as the hue of sunlight filtering through leaves, the density of mist, or the warmth of a breeze to influence emotional states. He cannot force emotions, but he can nudge them: calming anger, stirring hope, cooling fear. It feels natural, as though the environment itself whispers a different mood as Revana enhances natural responses to temperature and light using this shift.

Pulse of Verdancy: When in a natural setting , Revana can blend his mentalist abilities with the life-energy around him, amplifying his reach. Within these spaces, his emotional "nudges" become deeper, allowing him to encourage consensus or peace even among hostile groups—without them realizing they are being influenced. Several key areas within the Namwyrian Forest are enhanced by Revana's abilities to provide reflection or reservation about harming the natural areas entered upon.
