Lord High Commander of the Royal Kennels
This is one of the more fanciful titles that my brother has invented. It was permitted by the Regency Council as a way to keep the small child entertained by designing the ceremony and regalia for this position for his favourite pet.
Qualifications
The holder is the Tsar's favourite Dog, usually his pet who has freedom to roam inside and outside rather than a hunting dog who lives in the Kennels the whole time.
Requirements
The holder must be a Dog who is owned by either the Tsar or another member of the Royal Household.
Appointment
The Appointment ceremony was held in the Throne Room on the Tsar's birthday as part of many honours given out on this day.
Duties
Benefits
They are the only Dog who is permitted to sleep at the foot of the Tsar's bed every night.
Cultural Significance
Some people see the rank as a frivolous undertaking by a child who has too much power.
As the title confers no land, money, or real power, most people view it as a boy showing his love for his favourite pet and little more. Many find it sweet to see Volk in his full ceremonial gear riding in the Royal Carriage with us on high days in the city.
Notable Holders
So far the only holder has been Volk as the title was created for him, when he dies (sorry Misha, it will happen one day) the title will be given to another dog I presume.
