Volk
Lord High Commander of the Royal Kennels Volk
My brother's pet dog is quite possibly the most popular person at the palace. He often helps to run the post between the main Palace and my little cottage of Inner Court House, and he is friendly with my cats who live in the house.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
He is a very fit and agile dog, we once timed how long it took him to run a loop around the Estate and it took him only half an hour although he does get distracted so he could probably have been quicker if he didn't stop to say hello to everyone who crossed his path.
Identifying Characteristics
He is a very unusual looking breed in our country which makes him very distinctive on its own. In addition to that, he wears a pale blue collar with the royal crest displayed on the metal tag to show that he is a servant of the Royal Household.
Apparel & Accessories
On special occasions, he has a specially made cape to show his standing as Lord High Commander of the Royal Kennels and as a member of the aristocracy.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
My brother, Mikhail, met Volk on his trip to the Northern Mountain Range as part of the peace talks to end the Long Wars. He was ten at the time and the representative from the People of the Mountains offered him his choice of the puppies as a companion when he returned to the palace.
Volk is a very friendly dog and not well suited to being a hunting dog so he stayed in the Royal Palace as a pet. He roams freely over the Palace Estate and is a popular sight with the children at the Shadow palace, but he always returns to Mikhail's rooms by the end of the day, to sleep at the foot of his bed.
Social
Social Aptitude
He is an incredibly popular member of the Royal Household because he is so friendly and will say hello to everyone. When we have visitors he is the self appointed welcome committee, much to the delight of most guests.
