General Summary
Criminals, Cats, and Zombies?
Current Date: Pre-Dawn of 7 Enneatyr, 994 AN (Waxing Crescent)
It seems that the party is being tracked! Gnaur's Shadow Mastiff (Fraum) found the party while the were deliberating what to do with their crate of kittens and summoned several shadow creatures to attack them. During the Fray, Fraum was nearly able to escape with Logi and the book but had to give up as he was overwhelmed.
Feeling a little beat up after a couple of combats, the party opted to take a moment to rest up before trying to turn in Falique (the cat claiming they are not a cat, but were in fact shapechanged by an amulet they were repeatedly hiding by eating) to Karolin at the Wounded Rogue. Before entering the tavern, Laccaria caught sight of a somewhat familiar face (a flash of long white hair and black leather) but couldn't place it before being ushered into a meeting.
This is where things started to get a tad chaotic. Karolin admitted to not knowing exactly what the package would be, but took the party's word that it was an amulet inside the cat.
So she cut him open to retrieve it.
And, once she touched the amulet, turned into a cat.
And knocks on the door about a man with a swarm of zombies outside trying to get in.
Soooooo... Logi nearly killed cat-Karolin and everyone started attacking. It was quite chaotic. Once they cleared the room, they descended to the lower area of the tavern and found themselves attacked by enhanced zombies. The party opted to throw the amulet outside where it was picked up by (presumably) Maristo Maroo (Lady Izail's second). They then made their exit, but left a few zombies to keep anyone from following.
