Blue Dragons
Blue Dragons
Lightning calls and Thunder answers
Blue dragons are the lords of storms and sand, claiming endless deserts, stony badlands, and wind-scoured coasts as their rightful domains. Their scales range from deep sapphire to bright sky-blue, often darker along the ridge of their back and lighter along the belly. A single large horn juts forward from the snout, like a bolt of sculpted lightning, and smaller horns sweep back along the jaw and head. When a blue dragon speaks, the air often crackles, and when it laughs, distant thunder answers.
Clever, patient, and prideful, blue dragons delight in control and spectacle. They prefer to rule from hiding, watching caravans, towns, and border-forts from afar before striking where fear will spread the fastest. Their breath weapon is a focused line of searing lightning, capable of blasting through ranks, walls, and siege engines in a single roaring stroke. Many make their lairs in buried caverns beneath the dunes or in hidden ravines, weaving mazes of tunnels, false passages, and collapsed chambers to trap and exhaust intruders. They are meticulous planners and tireless observers, using mirages, illusions, and the harsh terrain itself to isolate prey, cut off escape, and prove—beyond argument—that the storm and the sand belong to them.
