Location: Southwest coast of Aorlan

Geography: The Orrosi Mountains, ancient sentinels of Aorlan's southwest coast, boast a rugged beauty shaped by time and geological forces. Composed primarily of granite and diorite, these weathered giants rise between 1,000 and 2,500 feet, with isolated rocky peaks breaching 3,000 feet.

Primary Population: None
Secondary Population: Valtauri
Minor Population: Kharg

Climate: A temperate climate graces the region, sustaining a year-round rainfall that nurtures a rich tapestry of tall deciduous trees, including majestic maple and beech, draping the hills in verdant splendor. Winters are long and snowy while summer’s warmth brings thunderstorms sweeping in from the coast.

Wildlife: Wildlife thrives in this mountainous wilderness full of diverse species. Great numbers of birds migrate seasonally through these mountains as they seek the promise of the northlands in spring and the sustained warmth of the southlands in autumn. Brown bears and large herds of elk grace the valleys, while stealthy mountain lions thrive on the steeper upper reaches of the mountains.

Humanoids: Lacking any year-round humanoid residents, occasional visitors include Orcs from the nearby Orc Fens, Nnugorvos, and small bands of the elusive wild Valtauri elves visiting from the Pherentaur Forest to the north.

Monsters: Dangerous creatures that exist here include dire badgers, giant stag beetles, Flame Drakes, and Cave Giants.

History: The mountains escaped from most of the deliterious effects of the Great Cataclysm. Although great earthquakes caused some large rockslides.

Today: This scenic area of mountains stands as a large area of wilderness, outside the bounds of civilization.
