Geography: The forest of Pherentaur, located in the heart of west central Aorlan, boasts a unique and captivating geography. The land is undulating, forming gentle hills that have been shaped over eons. This lush woodland is home to colossal ancient beech trees, their magnificent presence and smooth gray bark defining the landscape. The forest's enchanting beauty is enhanced by a unique forest floor that contains a sparse undergrowth. This allows travelers to forgo trails and explore the forest cross-country.
The faerie of Pherentaur attempt to conceal a secret known by only a few in the outside world. Within its southern expanse, beautiful and plentiful emeralds lie on the pristine stream bottoms. Rumors of this ocassionally make their way to human ears resulting in unwelcome visitors. In response to these undesirable intrusions, the faeries have summoned forest protectors such as the treants, to safeguard their precious forest and its elusive gem source.

Climate: With its temperate climate, the forest changes from long, cold, and wet winters with plentiful snow accumulation to delightful warm, moist summers.

In the northern coastal region, a small tribe of wild Valtauri elves resides, leading a harmonious existence closely entwined with nature and wielding formidable nature magic. Their make their homes in living trees, shaped by magic into dwellings that blend seamlessly with the forest's enchanted splendor and rarely venture forth into the world.
Monsters: Between the faeries and the Valtauri eives, few monsterous creatures dwell in this forest. To human outsiders, many of the creatures that live here may seem monsterous and dangerous, such as the huorns and treants.
