Location: East central Beorlan, south of the Anhagga River and northeast of the Goraukoros Range.

Geography: Alvalariel is a land of captivating contrasts, a realm shaped by its rugged geography and marked by the remnants of a turbulent past. Situated in the heart of the world, it boasts a unique blend of waterworn hills covered in vast grasslands. Despite the scars of the past, Alvalariel's beauty is undeniable, with its rolling hills and meadows blooming with vibrant spring wildflowers.

The northern border of Alvalariel is defined by the majestic Anhaga River, while to the northeast lies the tranquil Anhaga Bay, providing a natural buffer against external threats.

To the southeast, the shimmering Sea of Beledor stretches far, offering a sense of mystery and adventure to those who brave its waters. On the southern horizon, the Goraukoros Range stand tall, serving as both a formidable barrier and a majestic backdrop to the land.

Climate: The semiarid subtropical climate is characterized by long hot dry spells in the summer with brief intermittant periods of rainfall during the cooler winter months.

Wildlife: In the highland grasslands, black pathers creep through the broken terrain, hunting agile longhorn goats. Crafty jackals navigate the lower gullied areas, seeking opportunities among the smaller inhabitants. Twice a year the skies are graced by large flights of migratory birds passing through the hills on their way to their seasonal homes. Sharp eyed eagles and hungry vultures soar above the land, looking for their next meal, as long-legged herons stalk minnows the shores of watering holes.

Humanoids: Garuun gnomes and reside in northern Alvalariel while the Draelorin prefer to live near the Anhagga River. The gnomes, who live in well-concealed underground villages are adept at defensive earth magics and employ elaborate traps, protecting their homes from intruders. Though fiercely protective of their homeland, they have been known to offer peaceful visitors help and assistance. The Draelorin, a race corrupted by chaos storms, who resemble a cross between humans and antelopes, live in large nomadic tribes. The Wayang, often called the shadow gnomes by others, consist of former gnomes who became corrupted by the chaos storms. They live in the southern portion of Alvalariel and seldom mix with other races. The Turoch, a race of violent barbaric raiders, often invade the peaceful lands of Alvalariel on their ominous black steeds, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake. The centaur Ranfaroth tribes, natural adversaries of the Turoch, occasionally traverse the hills and grasslands, engaging in age-old conflicts that further define Alvalariel's history. And in the east, the dangerous peninsula of Khu poses a constant menace. Khu is infamous for being a port city ruled by the diabolical V’tacan Order. This city of black stone is the dwelling place of wizards who ride aloft on their enslaved dragons, keeping an ever-watchful eye over eastern Alvalariel.

Monsters:The dragons of Khu rank as the greatest danger to anyone who approaches the Khu peninsula in eastern Alvalariel. They have prodigous appetites and often fly into the easternmost portions of Alvalariel to feed.

History: Throughout its history, Alvalariel has endured numerous trials. During the Great Cataclysm, violent and severe storms with prodigious amounts of rainfall, ravaged the land, leaving behind a deeply gullied terrain that is still recovering today. Despite the scars, the land's resilience shines through as it continues to heal and regain its former glory.

Today: Alvalariel stands as a quiet land full of enchanting beauty and perilous intrigue. The peaceful hills can become suddenly hazardous when outsiders pass through these lands, sometimes wrecking havoc in their wake.
