Realm of Soll

The Realm of Soll, sometimes referred simply as Soll, is a Rai Realm that takes up most of the southeastern part of the continent. It stretches from the Bay of Iss in the east to Sanctuary, from the shores of the Southern Sea to the Mountains of Renn

History

The Realm of Soll was officially established y. 120 AR by the 1st Patriarch of Soll. During the first 1000 years the Realm expand to encompass most of the former Sollrai colonies, except Talrokora which would join the Realm in 1377 and Ranora later on.

Geography

The borders of the Sollrai Realm is Sanctuary to the west, the Mountains of Renn and Nhal to the north, the Bay of Iss to the east and the Southern Sea to the south. The realm takes up the eastern half of the sub-continent south of The Great Range, this area is often referred to as just Soll. Soll is mostly made up of great plains, fertile fields and rolling hills, with some mountains to the north and forests to the east.

Locations

The Great Plains of Soll

The Great Plains are the very center and heart of the Sollrai Realm. The Great Plains of Soll is the largest plain on the sub-continent and home to the capital of the Realm: Sollg'anor. River Soll runs through the plains from the mountains in the north to the southern sea and is vital for Sollg'anor and the Realm as a whole.

The Plains of Sond

Northwest of the Great Plains lies the Plains of Sond. Not nearly as expansive as the Great Plains but much more fertile and populated. This made the area very important as it provided much food to the rest of the Realm. The area suffered the most during the Great Wars with most of the area still is unpopulated to this day.

Rensond

Rensond lies between the Plains of Sond and the Mountains of Renn. The area is mostly made up of woods and hills. Like Sond the area suffered greatly during the Great Wars with the Nhalrai burning down much of the woods and killing or driving out most of the population. Today it is mostly unpopulated and only filled with ruins.

The Mountains of Renn

The Mountains of Renn is technically part of the Mountains of Nhal but belongs to the Realm of Soll. It is the northern most territory of Soll and is very rich in ore which makes it a vital area for Soll who otherwise lacks much access to important ores and metals. The area is sparsely populated with most of the people living in the fortified mining towns.

Isondro & Isander

The two islands of Isondro & Isander are located east of Soll in the Bay of Iss.

Settlements

Sollg'anor, the Capital of Soll

The greatest city in all of Soll and the sub-continent. Sollg'anor is the capital of the Sollrai Realm and lies in the center of the Realm. It is from here the Patriarch and the High Council rules the Realm and it's the home to the Order of the Sun. The city was founded by Aldrai colonists long before the Ruin. First only known as Sollg it was later renamed to Sollg'anor as it became the capital of the newly formed Realm.

Port Mithr

The second largest city in Soll, located in east in the Bay of Iss. Port Mithr grew fast and soon surpassed cities like Sondai and Talrokora which both was founded long before the Ruin. The city would become very important during the early days of the Realm, even serving as the Capital some times during the Wars in Hald and the early parts of the Great Wars.

Talrokora

The port city of Talrokora is said to be the oldest city in Soll. It was one of the first colonies founded by the Aldrai in Soll. The city is located southwest of Sollg'anor at the mouth of River Soll and his the third most populated city in Soll.   In the late days of the Aldrai Realm, Talrokora and Sollg had a rivaly who was to be the greatest city in Soll. The Ruin hit everyone hard, Talrokora was hit the hardest however and the city went into a decline. Talrokora rivaled the great city of Sollg'anor but overtime Sollg'anor rose, later Port Mithr, and Sondai overshadowed the once great city of Talrokora.

Toldora

Located southeast of Sollg'anor the port city was one of the first colonies in Soll but would never become as prominent as Talrokora and later Sollg'anor.

Taldenra

A small port city located east of Talrokora.

Teleral

Teleral is the southwestern most city of Soll, located on the bank of a lake named Telake northeast of Toldora. One of the later colonies founded by the Aldrai. Much like Toldora the city never grew to a expecially large size. The city is however important for its proximity one of the largest forests in Soll and exports much of it's timber to the rest of the Realm.

Ranora

Ranora is the western most city of Soll, located on the shore to the Sea of "WIP", southeast of Sanctuary. The city is rather small but important trade port with most of the trade with the west going through Ranora, though admittedly Soll mostly trades with Sanctuary and rarely with the western human kingdoms.

Ruined Settlements

Sondai

Once the third largest city in Soll, after Sollg'anor and Port Mithr.

Emberra

Emberra was a rather big town that sits at base of a dormant volcano in the southern Mountains of Renn. Mostly famous for its battle during the Great Wars between Matriarch Alari Flamer and Nekran Darkhand when the volcano suddenly erupted, laying waste to most of the town and decimating large parts of the Nhalrai army.
