Jain Brightarc

Jain Brightarc is the Light's Chosen. She was born on a small farm in the Great Plains of Soll.   Jain is an anomaly, though being born to common farmers, who were not particular blessed, she was blessed like no other rai. Just being in her presence grants healing capabilities compared to the strongest priests who have trained to strengthen their connection to the light all their life. This she achieves with no training and still being only a small child.  

Character & Appearance

Jain is still a young child. She has pale skin, with white short hair and pale blue eyes.   Jain is timid and shy as she was thrown into a whole different world leaving her parents and friends behind.

History

Early Life

Jain was born in the year 10 412, five years after what would be known as the Chosen War. She was born on a little farm in the Great Plains. Her early youth was like most rai on the countryside, playing with other kids, helping her parents on the farm and being taught by the local priest.   

The Light's Chosen

Year 10 431 AR everything changed however when a member of the Order from Sollg'anor traveled through the village and by chance met the young Jain. He was awestruck and stunned with her and turned back immediately to the Golden City. He told the High Priestess and other prominent members of the Order of his discovery, of a child blessed like no other. The High Priestess and her company set out from the capital to see this blessed child, even the Patriarch Eryk Dawn followed with them. When they arrived they were all stunned and amazed by her. Jain Brightarc was declared to be the Light's Chosen. A sign from the heavens that this war would be the last to defeat the Nhalrai, this Chosen War.  

Life in Sollg'anor & Jain's Guard

Jain would move to Sollg'anor to live there and be taught and trained by the best in the realm. She would live at the Patriarchs personal home, where she would also be taught instead of the Order. It took time for Jain to get accustomed to her new life but would get used to it with time. As she was not taught in the Order she would remain rather isolated in Sollg'anor, not meeting many of her own age. The Patriarchs daughter Naoria Dawn was the only closet one to her age she had and she would look up to her as an older sister.   Many realized that for Jain to have a somewhat more normal and stable life she would need friends closer to her own age around her. Thus the Honour Guard was to be implemented in the planned personal guard for her. The Honour Guard was to be made up of companions and hopefully to be friends sworn to Jain. The problem was however that Jain was still very young so a limit on how young her companions could be had to be set. Most members of the Guard would be between 150-240, not ideal but a good compromise.  

The Chosen War

When she was 48 years old she participated in her first battle in the war, the 2nd Siege of Night's End. (Note 48 years old is kinda equal to 14-15 human years old, a rai is conisdered adult at 200-ish years old)
