Rowan Vale
Rowan Vale was born to a religious family in Vaponoch. At an early age she proved to be adept at both swordfighting and the arcane arts. In her early 20s she vowed to uphold the tenants of the ancients and became a paladin of Umberlee. Shortly after accepting her oath Rowan left Vaponoch to travel the world. She became involved with other paladins of the deep sea gods and fought for peace in The Orb Wars. She was gravely injured in a skirmish near the Ley Orb and was taken to recuperate in Bhurnfaldur shortly before the events of The Rending. This injury would end up saving her life as Bhurn Faldur was protected from the explosion but it took many friends and her home from her. Once she recovered she set out to return to Vaponoch hoping that they had been protected from the blast as well but found that she could not locate the city. She spent many years following every lead and chasing every myth about the sunken city but was unable to return. Eventually she turned back he oath as a paladin of Umberlee and started adventuring. She fought with many powerful and legendary heroes during her time as the leader of The Eternal Dawn. After their final showdown the Soladris the Everburning Rowan retired from the adventuring life and sought to spread her faith to those who would listen. But the world was changing and the old Gods were pushed aside and the Primordials took their place. She settled in Bhurn Faldur for a time teaching and mentoring young swordfighters at Kommon's Akademy of Spellwerk. Rowan eventually retired from the Akademy after several centuries of teaching and currently lives on Hollowsend.
