Soladris the Everburning
Soladris the Everburning was once a powerful force for good in the world. During The Orb Wars the Gold Dragon traveled the world brokering peace and consulting with the governments of the world in an attempt to stop the bloodshed. She was largely unsuccessful but her efforts saved many lives. Soladris was near the epicenter of The Rending and only saved by her quick thinking and hearty constitution. The explosion left her a shell of her former self. Her once luminous scales were now cracked and the resulting wounds festered causing her to be in near constant pain. In addition to the physical ailment caused by the Rending Soladris' proximity to the magical explosion drove her mad and she sought to save the world. She believed that since humanoids caused this cataclysm by not heeding her warnings then they did not deserve to inhabit Primordia any longer.
Soladris set out on a campaign of destruction and death, setting fire to everything she came across. However, she also came across much resistance in the form of government agencies and adventuring parties. She was almost defeated several times but her survival instincts kicked in and she was able to escape. Her reign of terror continued for over 150 years until she came across The Eternal Dawn who had gathered ancient artifacts in preparation for their final confrontation. Using these artifacts the Eternal Dawn was able to slay Soladris the Everburning. Her corpse remains deep in the wastes of Dragotha, the magic of the Rending keeping decay at bay.
