Lady Draceana Duchess of Winters Breath (drəˈsi nə)

Symbols:

Perfectly symmetrical snowflake, ornate ulu with a snowflake on the blade

Physical Form Appearance:

Draceana is small in stature, but her ability to endure the coldest winters with such ease is a testament to her hardiness. She is usually seen wearing a sky-blue blouse and wearing a large white-furred cloak with a hand-sized clasp in the shape of a scale. Her boots are also lined with white fur and seem to be made from some type of glossy leather. She is never without her favored furry followers, Meesha her playful snow fox, and Aeli her snow rabbit.

Personality/Demeanor:

Draceana has a very jovial and happy persona, the colder and more snow on the ground and in the air there is the more she seems to be at home and revels in the white blanket. Those hardy or foolhardy enough to venture into her domain are watched very closely by her. She allows them to make their own way and their own decisions and never interferes with their journey, she will however if she finds them hardy enough and strong enough to survive their trek for whatever reason, lore has it that she will entertain them for a single evening. In the morning, most only have vague memories or a dream that was like nothing they have had before. There have been stories about foolish individuals going off into her icy wilderness solely for that purpose and becoming lost and eventually succumbing to the elements only to be found either frozen to the ground or found as bits and pieces after some form of snow beast has had their way with them. The one thing that will raise her ire is harming children of any species, she knows that children left in her domain, have no chance whatsoever for survival and she will send her avatar or some form of beast/animal to protect the child from the cold and from predators, they will guide them to a nearby village. It is not uncommon for a child to get lost in the snow during a storm, and tell ‘tales’ of being guided by home by some form of animal or by a lady with snow white hair dressed all in sky-blue and white. Around her sisters; as they adopted her, she is polite and gracious and is actually a little more reserved but is not beyond playing a prank or two on any of them, given the right opportunity. She will allow hunting in her domain as long as it is for survival and for the good of the traveler. Natives of her lands will always pray to her before going out on the hunt and once they have made the kill they will thank the beast for giving up its life so they may live. No part of any animal that is caught is ever wasted. She will however waste no time in dispatching a hunter that is strictly in it for the kill, they are usually done in by the animal they are hunting or it has been believed that she will present herself one time to the offender, allowing them to offer penance for their misdeed and if they are not penitent, she will freeze them to the spot and let the elements and animals to have their way with them. If she is ever brought to anger, her eyes go from light blue to ice white, the temperature immediately around her drops by at least 15 degrees and there is an excellent chance that she will shape change into an 8HD Winter wolf and if this happens there is very little that will stop her. Her baying will call 4d10 winter wolves to her location. She is exceptionally adept at using an ulu, it is believed that the one she possesses was passed down several generations to her when she became of age. If someone is rash enough to face her in combat, she has the ability to draw it rend an extremity from its owner. The ulu will cut through an unprotected limb on a To Hit roll of 15-20, a well-covered limb (heavy winter covering) on a 17-20, and an armored (although whoever is wearing metal armor in the arctic cold will have other issues to contend with) on a roll of 19-20.
